Day 3. So, for Day 1, and Day 2, I cheated a bit and used old ideas, starting to get harder now as, i’ll need to start thanking of new ideas as I go…

OLD IDEA 1: Digital Service Design

OLD IDEA 2: Workplace Unions

NEW IDEA: Digital only workplace union provided through an App. More convenient information at your finger tips, and lower cost, and self-managing participation.

Five Whys:

1. There is increasing inequality in the workplace.
2. The wages and remuneration multiples for the owners and senior executives of businesses, are increasing faster than the those of the lowest paid.
3. Workplace unions have traditionally used collective bargaining to empower the lower paid, and fight for a more equal share of value creation.
4. However, unions in their traditional form have their limitations; expensive, old fashioned, and prone to the same power hierarchies they are supposed counteract.
5. Digital service design can be applied to the realm of collective bargaining and workplace support, to build a cheaper, more convenient, and flatter more participatory application for workers.
